About Belleme
Belleme is a delightful little town in the heart of the Perche's rolling countryside,its history goes back to the 10th Century. Some interesting buildings in Bellême date from the 15th Century and there is an old chapel and crypt built before the year 1000.
There are many interesting and picturesque places to visit in the vicinity, including Belleme forest, classified by UNESCO for it's exceptional oak and beech trees is also a nice place to go out for a walk , there is a lake, a Roman fountain, museums of lace and woodwork and many churches, a horse riding centre, golf course, tennis courts , swimming pool and chateaux.
